Parisiens to cruise to high-scoring win

Paris Saint-Germain are in goalscoring form this season and Saturday’s home game with Reims is unlikely to be dull and going over 2.5 goals is the bet here.

PSG are 11 places above Reims in the table, with the two sides separated by 23 points. PSG lead Ligue 1 and are unbeaten in their 17 games this season, while Reims sit 12th with five wins and seven losses.

Paris Saint-Germain come into this game in good form, having beaten St-Etienne 2-1 in their last Ligue 1 home game and they have not lost in 19 league matches. They also received a huge boost by coming from behind to see off Manchester City 4-2 in the Champions League on Wednesday.

In contrast, Reims are struggling to find a win, going seven games without recording a victory.

There have been over 2.5 goals in six of Reims’ last eight Ligue 1 away games and so they are unlikely to keep this one tight.

There is a huge gulf between the two teams when it comes to attacking prowess. Paris Saint-Germain have scored three goals or more in 11 of their 17 Ligue 1 games this season and lead the league with 46 goals. In contrast, Reims have scored just 12 times in eight away games – an average of 1.5 goals per game.

Paris Saint-Germain have a huge edge in terms of recent form, and with four of their 13 league victories this season coming by three goals or more, they can secure a 3-0 win in the correct-score betting. Reims conceded three on their last Ligue 1 away trip at St-Etienne.
