QPR to overcome the odds

QPR might be the value bet to overcome the difference in league positions when they host Bristol City at Loftus Road on Saturday. The visitors are fifth in the table and QPR are 15th, but Marti Cifuentes’ side look like the team to back.

Bristol City are ten places above QPR in the table, with the two sides separated by 14 points. QPR sit 15th with 12 wins and 16 defeats, while City are fifth with 16 wins and ten losses.

The visitors have struggled defensively of late. Bristol City have been unable to keep their opponents at bay in six straight Championship games and have failed to keep a clean sheet in 14 of their last 17.

QPR have had the upper hand in recent encounters with Bristol City, going unbeaten in five of the last six Championship meetings between the teams.

A narrow 1-0 win for QPR is worth backing as a correct-score option. Five of Bristol City’s ten Championship defeats this season have been by a 1-0 scoreline, and at least one of the sides has blanked in three of the last four clashes between these two.
