Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

Real Betis have scored exactly once in two of of their last three outings, but only kept two clean sheets in twelve, including a 1-1 draw with Athletic Bilbao. Rayo Vallecano drew 1-1 with Villarreal last time out, the fourth time in five games they have conceded exactly once.

Real Betis vs Rayo Vallecano Predictions

  • Nine of Real Betis’ last 12 games have seen both teams score
  • Both teams have netted in four or Rayo Vallecano’s last five outings
  • Betis have scored in each of their dozen home outings this season

Can Betis keep good form going?

A 1-0 UEFA Conference League win over HJK on Thursday means Real Betis have now gone five games without defeat, winning the last three.

There are concerns for Manuel Pellegrini’s side though, who have only kept two clean sheets during that run, while their last six league outings have featured just one victory.

Indeed, the Green and Whites have seen both teams net across nine of their last dozen outings in all competitions, as well as five of their eight matches in the league at home.

Vallecano looking to cause an upset

They will not find life easy against Rayo Vallecano, who themselves are unbeaten in four matches, courtesy of back-to-back draws against Villarreal (1-1) and Real Madrid (3-3).

Those results mean those teams have scored in four of the Red Sashes’ last five outings, a period during which they have kept merely one clean sheet.

And although they have moved six points clear of the relegation zone, the away form will be a concern for Iñigo Pérez, who has seen his side win just one of their last four on the road in the league.

I predict that both teams will score in this match, with a 1-1 draw my correct score prediction.
