Real Madrid and Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Real Madrid are unbeaten in their last 15 Champions League home fixtures, winning 12 of those, but they have kept just one clean-sheet in their last nine games, while Milan have scored in 11 of 13 games this season.

Real Madrid 3-1

Reason for tip

Real Madrid beat Stuttgart 3-1 in their opening match in this season’s Champions League and can repeat that trick against a Milan side that lost to Liverpool by that scoreline on matchday one and that have only won three of their last 14 road games in the Champions League.

Real Madrid vs AC Milan Predictions

  • Real Madrid are unbeaten in their last 15 Champions League home fixtures, winning 12 of those
  • Los Blancos have kept just one clean-sheet in their last nine matches across all competitions
  • Milan have scored in 11 of their 13 matches across all competitions this season

Real have had time to lick Clasico wounds

Real Madrid are back in action for the first time since their 4-0 home defeat to Barcelona in EL Clasico when they welcome AC Milan to the Bernabeu in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Los Blancos have had 10 days to lick their wounds from that humbling defeat to their bitter rivals, as their weekend clash with Valencia was postponed, and they will fancy their chances of returning to winning ways against Milan.

The 15-time champions of Europe are unbeaten in their last 15 Champions League home games, winning 12 of those, but they have only kept one clean-sheet in their last nine games all told and are yet to shut an opponent out in Europe this season.

Milan’s European struggles to continue

Real’s shaky recent defensive record will give Milan hope they can score in the Spanish capital, as will their run of netting in 11 of 13 games across all competitions this season, but the Rossoneri could ultimately lose for the third time in four matches in this year’s Champions League.

Paulo Fonseca’s men have already lost at home to Liverpool and away to Bayer Leverkusen in Europe this season and their away record in the continent’s premier club competition has been poor for some time – they have won just three of their last 14 road games in the Champions League.

Milan have also only won on one of their eight previous trips to the Bernabeu and another defeat would seem likely on Tuesday, with a 3-1 scoreline offering appeal.
