Real Madrid to Win

Reason for tip

Real Madrid have won five games on the spin after a 3-0 victory against Mallorca in the semi-final. They meet a Barca side who have lost to Atletico Madrid and Leganes in their last two La Liga outings, so back Carlo Ancelotti’s side to claim silverware.

Real Madrid vs Barcelona Predictions

  • Real Madrid have won each of their last five games
  • Barcelona have slipped up in six of their last 11, losing four times
  • Madrid beat Barca 4-1 in the Super Cup final 12 months ago

Real rattling off wins

Real Madrid have won each of their last five games as they chase a haul of silverware. They won FIFA’s new Intercontinental Cup with a 3-0 victory over Pachuca before securing two league victories to move top of La Liga. After beating Deportiva Minera in the Spanish Cup, they saw off Mallorca 3-0 in the semi-finals of the Super Cup.

That’s set up Sunday’s Clasico Super Cup final, as Real chase revenge for their 4-0 humbling at the hands of Barcelona earlier this season. Barca flew out of the gate this term, but they’ve struggled of late having lost consecutive La Liga matches to slip to third.

Real won 4-1 when these two met in the final of this competition a year ago. The Madrid side have won eight of their last 10 matches across all competitions, while Barca have slipped up in six of their previous 11, suffering defeats to Real Sociedad, Las Palmas, Leganes and Atletico Madrid in that stretch.

With Real in great form, they’re good value to secure a victory.
