Marseille To Win To Nil

Reason for tip

Reims have slipped right into relegation trouble in Ligue 1 and the shot-shy hosts may be unable to lay a glove on Marseille, so expect the visitors to win without conceding

Marseille 2-0

Reason for tip

Marseille have a strong recent record against Reims and while they have had their wobbles, they should get back to winning ways and post a 2-0 win

Reims vs Marseille Predictions

  • Reims have scored in their last six matches
  • The home side have taken just two points from their last seven games on their own patch
  • Marseille have lost just one of their last eight games against Reims

Scoring issues have dragged Reims into trouble

Three defeats in their last four games have extinguished any small hopes Marseille had of pushing Paris Saint-Germain in the Ligue 1 title race, but Roberto De Zerbi’s side should be able to pull themselves together and claim a win over struggling Reims.

Their opponents have failed to win in the league since November 10 and are just two points ahead of the relegation zone after losing their shooting boots.

They have gone six matches without scoring a goal so second-placed OM should be comfortable and the fact they have lost three of their last four on their travels at Nice, Auxerre and PSG should not discourage those looking to back them to win without conceding.

Marseille have to remain on the ball

It’s not all been doom and gloom for De Zerbi’s outfit as they have won four of their last seven and they still need to be focused as despite being second, they are just six points ahead of seventh-placed Strasbourg who, as it stands, would not qualify for any European competition next season.

While Reims have been in the midst of their struggles, they have conceded the fewest number of goals in the bottom six, so OM are unlikely to rattle up a cricket score and a 2-0 away win looks a decent shout in the correct-score market.
