Monaco and Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Both teams have scored in five of Reims’ last six home Ligue 1 games. Additionally, both teams have scored in Monaco’s last four away league fixtures and in the last two head-to-head meetings of the clubs.

Monaco 2-1

Reason for tip

Back Monaco to prevail 2-1. Les Monagasques have won four away games in Ligue 1 this term with both teams scoring in two. Reims have not shipped more than two goals in any home game this term, doing exactly that in four of the seven so far.

Reims vs Monaco Predictions

  • Both teams have scored in five of Reims’ last six home Ligue 1 games
  • Both teams have scored in Monaco’s last four away league fixtures
  • The away team has won the last five head-to-head meetings of the clubs

Monaco could leave it late again

Monaco should be able to squeeze out an important away victory over Reims at Stade Auguste-Delaune on Saturday, but it may go down to the wire again. Adi Hutter’s side have become known for their late shows in Ligue 1 this season after scoring a league-high nine goals in the final 15 minutes, a period in which they have conceded only three times.

Their away form has been good but they come into this clash on a run of three road defeats in five, including back-to-back losses at Marseille and Arsenal this month.

Reims would be fancying their chances of at least getting a draw if they were not in mediocre home form themselves after taking only one point from their last three outings in front of their own fans.

Both teams to score in Reims

The Red and Whites have slipped to ninth place in the table and may lack the firepower to trouble a Monaco defence that ranks second-best in the division with only 12 goals conceded.

That said, both teams to score should be a good shout for Saturday’s game because it has landed in five of Reims’ last six home Ligue 1 games and all of Monaco’s last four away league fixtures.

The away team tends to do best in this fixture with the last five all going the way of the visitors and no home side taking three points in the last 11 head-to-head meetings. So backing Monaco to win with both teams on the scoresheet could pay dividends this weekend.
