Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Both teams to score looks like the best bet when PSG visit Rennes. The Parisians have seen both teams find the net in ten of their last 12 league matches, while Rennes have failed to keep a clean sheet in four of their last six meetings with them.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

PSG may have one eye on their upcoming Champions League clash, and Rennes’ strong form could see them hold the leaders. Four of PSG’s five league draws have ended 1-1, as have Rennes’ last three stalemates, making a 1-1 correct score a solid pick.

Rennes vs PSG Predictions

Distracted Parisiens could drop points

Paris Saint-Germain were stunned by Liverpool in the Champions League on Wednesday and might struggle to return to winning ways at Rennes.

Both teams to score is the best bet when they visit Rennes at Roazhon Park on Saturday as the French giants look to bounce back from their unfortunate midweek 1-0 loss despite playing superbly.

Paris Saint-Germain are ten places above Rennes in the table, with 33 points separating the two teams. The hosts are 11th having won nine and lost 13 of their 24 games this season, while leaders PSG have 19 wins and no defeats.

Rennes are in form, having won four of their last five Ligue 1 matches, but Paris Saint-Germain have been winners in nine of their last ten games and seven of their last eight away.

Paris Saint-Germain beat Lille 4-1 in their last Ligue 1 game, with the hosts having the game killed off by half time. PSG have won 17 of the 19 games in which they’ve scored first this season and this was their tenth game in 12 with both teams scoring.

Rennes have failed to keep a clean sheet in four of their last six games against Paris Saint-Germain and the visitors have not kept out their opponents in ten of their last 12 Ligue 1 matches, so there may be goals at both ends.

It could be hard to separate these two sides, with the 1-1 draw looking like a decent correct-score bet.

Paris Saint-Germain, who will have one eye on Tuesday’s return trip to Anfield, have drawn five Ligue 1 games this season with four of them finishing 1-1 and Rennes’ last three draws ending with a 1-1 scoreline.
