Millers can add to Crawley woes

Rotherham look like the best bet when they host Crawley on Saturday. The visitors have been poor on the road this season, with just three wins in 19 away games, and Rotherham manager Steve Evans can get one over his former club.

Both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season, but Rotherham are eight places above Crawley in the table with 12 more points. Rotherham are 14th with 12 wins and 16 losses, while Crawley have won eight and lost 21.

Crawley have lost eight of their last 10 away games in League One, and their last four road trips have all ended in defeat.

The visitors have struggled defensively of late. Crawley have been disappointing away from home this season, conceding 44 goals in 19 road games – an average of 2.32 goals per game.

No team has conceded more in League One this season than Crawley’s 71 goals against in 38 games and not even the recent return of popular manager Scott Lindsey is likely to save them from the drop back down to League Twi.

A narrow 1-0 win for Rotherham looks the most likely outcome. Eight of their 12 League One victories this season have come by a single goal, and four of their last six matches have ended with under 2.5 goals.
