      Rotherham vs Wolves Predictions

Only a fortnight ago, the situation was looking desperately bleak for Rotherham. With just 9 points from 16 games, the Millers were already staring down the barrel of relegation and questions were already being asked about the credentials of new boss Neil Redfearn, who had managed to pick up only 1 point from his opening 6 matches.

Having things have taken a sudden turn for the better. First came an impressive 1-0 win at his former club Leeds and Rotherham backed that up impressively last week with a convincing 3-0 home victory against fellow strugglers with Bristol City.

With Wolves not in great form, this looks to be a good opportunity to secure a third successive Championship win, which would almost certainly lift them out of the drop-zone.

Kenny Jackett’s side are not having a good season and could only draw 0-0 at home to struggling MK Dons last time out. They failed to win in November and have only won 1 of their last 8 league matches, which has seen them move down to 15th in the table.

Wolves should have more than enough quality to avoid getting dragged into a relegation dog-fight but they have got a poor record against sides near the foot of the table. They remain the only side to lose to Bolton this season and have failed to win any of their 3 matches against the newly promoted clubs, all of whom are struggling.

Therefore at 6/5 a seemingly revitalised Rotherham look good value to win this in the ‘draw no bet’ market.

Wolves are still heavily reliant on Benik Afobe for goals and if Rotherham can keep him quiet, they could rack up a third straight clean sheet and therefore 14/1 looks really long for a 2-0 home win in this fixture.
