Farense could claim crucial point

Porto have scored in 18 of their last 20 league games, and backing over 2.5 goals looks the best bet when they visit Farense at Estadio de Sao Luis on Sunday.

They are third in the Primeira Liga, 14 places above Farense, with 28 points separating the two teams. The hosts have won three of their 21 games this season, while Porto have recorded 13 wins so far.

Farense are struggling to find a win, having gone six Primeira Liga games without recording a victory. They have failed to win in eight of their last nine league matches and have lost their last three.

Both teams are less than perfect defensively, which should lead to goals. Farense have failed to keep a clean sheet in seven of their last nine league games, while for Porto, it is five games since they last recorded a shutout – their longest run without one this season.

There should be goals at both ends, with 2-2 appealing as a correct-score pick.

Both sides have found the net in Porto’s last four Primeira Liga matches but they might have one eye on Thursday’s crucial Europa League play-off clash against Roma after this week’s first leg finished 1-1.
