Both Teams To Score and Over 2.5 Match Goals

      Reason for tip

Chelsea are in the driving seat of this Conference League playoff after last Thursday’s 2-0 victory at Stamford Bridge, but that doesn’t tell the full story as Servette won the shot count 22-14 and forced eight corners. Expect goals as the Swiss side chase the tie.

      Chelsea 3-1

      Reason for tip

Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals may represent the best value and correct-score punters are advised to side with a 3-1 victory for Chelsea. As Servette push, the gaps will open for the Blues to exploit.

      Servette vs Chelsea Predictions

      • Chelsea have conceded in each of their last 20 away games
      • Both teams have scored in four of Servette’s five Swiss Super League matches
      • Both teams have scored in ten of Chelsea’s last 12 away matches

Blues to be embroiled in high-scoring clash

Chelsea are in the driving seat of this Conference League playoff after last Thursday’s 2-0 victory at Stamford Bridge, but that doesn’t tell the full story.

It was a disjointed first-leg performance from the Blues and Swiss side Servette had plenty of clearcut chances, having won the shot count 22-14 and forcing eight corners to the Londoners’ four.

Chelsea have since responded with a 6-2 thrashing of Wolves at Molineux but there are definite areas to work on defensively and Servette’s desperation to win means it could be a high-scoring encounter.

The Swiss hosts were in the Europa League group stages last season and both teams scored in all three of their home games against Sheriff Tiraspol, Roma and Braga.

Servette pack a punch going forward

Servette have had a mixed start to their domestic campaign, collecting nine points from five games having endured back-to-back defeats against Lugano and Basel.

However, they did defeat Young Boys 3-1 at home before that losing spell and both teams have scored in four of those five league outings.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have conceded in each of their last 20 away games – a run stretching back to October – yet their alignment of attacking stars is clear for all to see.

So both teams to score and over 2.5 goals may represent the best value, with correct-score punters advised to side with a 3-1 victory for Chelsea.
