Brest to Win

Reason for tip

Shakhtar Donetsk have been out of competitive action for a month and have lost four of their six Champions League ties this season, while Brest have won four of their six in the competition and six of their last seven in all competitions.

Brest 2-1

Reason for tip

Shakhtar Donetsk have scored in their last three Champions League games and should get on the scoresheet against Brest, who have won their last three games by a 2-1 scoreline.

Ludovic Ajorque To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Ludovic Ajorque scored Brest’s winner in Rennes on Saturday to make it six goals for the season. He has scored three of these in his last four appearances and has only failed to register a goal contribution in two of his last seven.

Shakhtar Donetsk vs Brest Predictions

  • Shakhtar Donetsk have lost four of their six Champions League games this season.
  • Brest have won six of their last seven in all competitions.
  • Brest have won their last three games by a 2-1 scoreline.

Rusty Shakhtar could struggle in Germany

Shakhtar Donetsk return to competitive action for the first time in a month when they face Brest in Germany on Wednesday, but they may find themselves on the wrong end of the result in Gelsenkirchen.

The Ukrainian side have lost four of their six Champions League ties this season and need to win at least one of their two remaining games to stand any chance of qualifying for the play-offs, while Brest are impressing in their first ever European campaign.

Les Pirates can strengthen qualification bid

Les Pirates sit seventh in the league phase after winning four and drawing one of their six outings, and they head to Germany in good form having racked up six wins in their last seven competitive games.

The last three of these victories have come via a 2-1 scoreline, and backing Brest to win and another 2-1 victory looks a good choice considering Shakhtar Donetsk have scored in each of their last three in this competition.

Brest striker Ludovic Ajorque looks a solid bet in the anytime goalscorer market, too. He scored Brest’s winner at Rennes on Saturday to make it six goals for the season, with the 30-year-old having netted in three of his last four appearances.
