      Both Teams To Score

      Reason for tip

Sheffield United have made life hard for themselves in the Championship promotion race and they are not guaranteed to keep a clean sheet against the Bluebirds, who usually find the net on their travels.

      Sheffield United vs Cardiff Predictions

      • Only bottom side Plymouth have conceded more goals than Cardiff in the Championship this season
      • The Bluebirds have drawn 11 away matches in the second tier this term
      • Sheffield United have lost their last three Championship matches

      Worrying times for the Blades

Sheffield United’s form has collapsed at exactly the wrong time as three straight defeats have allowed Burnley and Leeds to gain five points on the Blades in the race for Championship promotion, which means three points are absolutely crucial against struggling Cardiff on Friday.

However, this could be another occasion when United are frustrated, even though the Bluebirds are in the depths of the relegation battle and have claimed just two wins from their 21 away league games this season.

Chris Wilder’s Blades have lost to Oxford, Millwall and bottom side Plymouth, where ugly scenes after the final whistle demonstrated just how much was at stake for the Yorkshire outfit, and, as they have won just five of their last 11 at Bramall Lane, three points for the home side look far from guaranteed.

      Bluebirds could make their mark

Cardiff have four games left to preserve their Championship status and a 1-0 home defeat to Stoke on Saturday did little to help their prospects, but they drew their preceding three matches which followed a 2-1 victory at Blackburn.

The Bluebirds have suffered from having too many draws and just one of their six defeats in 2025 has been by a margin of more than a goal.

There looks a chance they can get something from what could be a nervy afternoon and with both teams scoring in 12 of the Bluebirds’ last 14 away matches, there is a chance that could happen again, with a 1-1 draw of potential interests for correct-score punters.
