Coventry Double Chance (Win or Draw)

Reason for tip

Coventry have been exceptional since Frank Lampard took charge back in November, having won ten of their last 13 matches in the Championship, and they can avoid defeat on the road to fellow highflyers Sheffield United.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

Four of Sheffield United’s last six games have produced under 2.5 goals and this could be another tight affair between two sides with their sights set on promotion. With that in mind, back 1-1 in the correct score betting.

Sky Blues can continue ascent under Lampard

Coventry’s meteoric rise under Frank Lampard means they are firmly in contention for the Championship playoff places with eight games to go and they can send out a statement with a positive result away to Sheffield United.

When Lampard took charge of the Sky Blues back in November, the club were languishing in the lower depths of the Championship but they have since put together an extraordinary run.

Indeed, they have claimed 30 points from a possible 39 in their last 13 Championship fixtures, putting them above the likes of West Brom, Bristol City and Middlesbrough in the league standings.

A softer fixture list has helped, although they cruised to a 3-0 win over fellow playoff hopefuls Sunderland last time out.

Blades are a tough nut to crack

A visit to Sheffield United represents one of their toughest tests of the season but they are worth backing to avoid defeat at Bramall Lane.

The Blades are in a strong position to secure automatic promotion to the Premier League with 80 points to their name but they have endured a couple of tricky matches at home recently, drawing 1-1 with Bristol City earlier this month and losing to Leeds in February.

This could be a tight and cagey contest with so much on the line and in terms of a correct score, 1-1 appeals with Sheffield United’s last three fixtures generating just four goals.
