Over 3.5 goals could be the bet when Sheffield United host Portsmouth at Bramall Lane on Saturday. This has been a profitable bet in 11 of Portsmouth’s 30 Championship games this season and more of the same could follow in the Steel City.

Sheffield United are third in the Championship, 17 places above Portsmouth, with the two sides separated by 33 points. United have 19 wins, six draws and five defeats, while Pompey have won seven and lost 14.

Portsmouth’s recent Championship form has been inconsistent, with two wins, one draw and three defeats in their last six games.

However, they have not won in three matches and have lost six away games in a row.

Sheffield United have shown signs of vulnerability at the back, conceding in three of their last four Championship home games which also points to goals.

Sheffield United have a real edge in terms of recent results and have been two-goal winners eight times in the Championship this season. With that in mind a 3-1 win is an attractive correct-score bet.
