Slovan Bratislava vs Dinamo Zagreb Predictions
- Slovan Bratislava sit bottom of the Champions League standings with zero points
- Dinamo Zagreb have taken four points from their last two Champions League games
- The Croatian giants have won three of their last five Champions League away matches 2-0.
More European frustration for Slovan
Slovan Bratislava currently sit bottom of the Champions League standings after losing their opening three matches and they may come unstuck again when Dinamo Zagreb visit Tehelne pole.
The league phase has been something of a baptism of fire for Slovan, who were thrashed 5-1 at Celtic in their opening game before losing heavily at home to Manchester City and going down away to Girona – failing to score in the latter two of those contests.
Vladimir Weiss’ side have only won one of their last four home matches across all competitions, a run that includes losing 5-0 to MSK Zilina and drawing with struggling Trencin domestically, and they may struggle to contain an improving Dinamo Zagreb.
Dinamo have bounced back from Bayern battering
Dinamo have shown plenty of character to bounce back from their 9-2 mauling at the hands of Bayern Munich on matchday one, following up a credible home draw with Monaco by winning 2-0 in Salzburg in their most recent European fixture.
That defeat to Bayern is also the only loss the Croatian champions have suffered in their last five Champions League away matches – including qualifiers – and they have scored exactly two goals in each of those games.
Indeed, three of those fixtures, against Salzburg and Qarabag this season and Astana last, have seen Dinamo win 2-0 and a repeat of that result could be on the cards in Bratislava this midweek.
