      Spain vs Netherlands Predictions

      • Six of the Netherlands’ last nine Nations League games have gone over 3.5 goals
      • Spain have won seven of their last nine games
      • The visitors have only won one of their last six outings

      Entertaining affair fancied

Spain and the Netherlands put on an entertaining 2-2 draw in the first leg of their Nations League quarter-finals and another high-scoring affair is fancied in the second leg.

Jorrel Hato was sent off for the Dutch side, who conceded a 93rd minute Mikel Merino equaliser to set up a delicately balanced tie in this return fixture in Valencia.

Goals have become something of a common occurrence for the Netherlands in this competition, six of their last nine games in the Nations League have gone over 3.5 goals and a repeat of that is fancied.

La Roja could take the win

Spain will be without young defender Pau Cubarsi after he limped off in Rotterdam, with Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen likely to replace him.

The defending European champions should be able to make up for his absence in attacking areas, where they have excelled under manager Luis de la Fuente.

La Roja have netted 16 times in their last six games and in the shape of Lamine Yamal they have the most exciting player in world football.

The Barcelona man should be able to help contribute to a game that goes over 3.5 goals.

Correct score backers should note the fact that Spain have won seven of their last nine matches and take a 3-1 home win.
