      Sparta Prague vs Brest Predictions

      • Sparta Prague have won just two of their last eight matches
      • Brest have lost just two of their last nine outings
      • Brest’s last four away matches have all featured more than two goals

      Sparta’s woes could continue

Sparta Prague have already seen their city rivals Slavia steal a march in the Czech Liga title race and they might not get much respite from being ten points behind domestically when they return to Champions League action against Ligue 1 Brest on Wednesday.

Sparta’s last experience among Europe’s elite, a 5-0 defeat at Manchester City, may still take some recovering from and it is difficult to be confident about their chances.

Brest have demonstrated that they are not out of place in the continent’s biggest tournament as they took to it serenely in their opening game, winning 4-0 against Salzburg while also gaining a creditable 1-1 home draw with German Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen.

Brest equipped to gain another win

Eric Roy’s team suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Nice on Saturday after five unbeaten matches, but they should not have anything to fer from a trip to the Czech capital.

Admittedly, they have kept just two clean sheets in their last eight away games, but they have the ability to come out on top, so a 2-1 away win could be of interest to those looking for a correct-score bet.
