St Pauli’s new promotion push begins here

It was heartbreak at the end of last season as St Pauli narrowly missed out on a top-three finish by a mere three points. A tough time for Nurnberg

Finishing in mid-table last season, Nurnberg look to get off to a better start this time around in search of promotion to the top-flight. However, they failed to win each of their last five visits to St Pauli and could yet struggle again.

The acquisition of Christopher Daferner is exciting for Nurnberg fans as he scored 13 goals for Dynamo Dresden last term, though that in itself may not be enough to overcome the odds to win in this encounter.
