Low-scoring affair expected at Lamex Stadium

Sunday’s game at the Lamex Stadium between Stevenage and Bristol Rovers is unlikely to produce many goals. Fourteen of Stevenage’s 20 league matches this season have finished with under 2.5 goals and there have been under 2.5 goals in eight of Bristol Rovers’ last ten League One matches.

Stevenage are three places above Bristol Rovers in the table but both teams have lost more games than they’ve won. Stevenage are 16th with seven wins and eight defeats while Rovers are 19th, having won six and lost 11 of their 21 games.

Bristol Rovers are struggling at the moment, losing four of their last five League One games and going three away matches without a win.

Both teams have been disappointing in front of goal this season, although Stevenage’s struggles are particularly concerning. They have scored just 15 goals in 20 league games and no team has scored fewer goals in League One.

With both sides struggling for form and goals looking hard to come by, a 1-1 draw could be a decent correct-score bet.
