Hatters to make home advantage count

Stockport look worth backing to beat Burton Albion at home on Saturday.

Dave Challinor’s side have had some tough games recently, facing Wrexham, Bolton and Charlton – three of the top seven – and taking four points from those matches.

This looks like an easier assignment for them and they should take advantage.

They are fifth in the league, 16 places and 29 points above Burton Albion in 21st. Stockport have won 18 of their 38 games this season, while Burton have eight wins from theirs.

Stockport are unbeaten in nine of their last ten League One home games, and have enjoyed success in four of their last five.

The visitors have struggled defensively of late. Burton Albion have failed to keep a clean sheet in three of their last four League One games.

Stockport have been strong at home this season and may be able to edge out Burton Albion in a 2-1 win. They have won two of their last three League One home games 2-1.
