      Watford to Win

      Reason for tip

Stoke have lost three of their last four games and may suffer another defeat when they host Watford, who have 14 league wins this season and are still firmly in the Championship playoff race.

      Watford 2-0

      Reason for tip

Watford have recorded back-to-back win to nils and may make it three in a row with a 2-0 victory over Stoke, who have been one of the lowest scoring teams in the Championship this season.

      Stoke City vs Watford Predictions

      • Stoke have lost three of their last four matches
      • Only five Championship teams have won more games than Watford’s 14
      • The Hornets have picked up back-to-back wins to nil

      Stoke struggling

After a decent start, Stoke have struggled recently under new manager Mark Robins, losing three of their last four matches, and they could fall to another defeat against a Watford team on the up.

The Hornets beat rivals Luton 2-0 last weekend and remain in the play-off hunt after picking up a big victory over Middlesbrough before that.

They are just three points off a top six spot in a typically congested race despite having lost the joint-most games of any team in the top half.

      Visitors fancied

Giorgi Chakvetadze is a cut above Championship level, his two goals and six assists don’t accurately represent the quality of the midfielder, and he may end up in the Premier League next season regardless of if Tom Cleverley’s side secure promotion.

By contrast Stoke have struggled all season in front of goal and their tally of 34 scored in as many games is the only better than three teams in the second tier.

Watford were 3-0 winners in the reverse fixture and are fancied to deepen the Potters’ woes by doing the double over the relegation-threatened home team.

The away side have picked up back-to-back win to nils and given the hosts’ struggles in front of goal, a 2-0 Watford win is the correct score pick.
