Strasbourg’s winning feeling can continue

Strasbourg have won their last two home games in Ligue 1 and they are worth backing to get a victory against Nice on Saturday.

They are fourth in Ligue 1, two places and two points ahead of sixth-placed Nice, having won 14 and lost seven of their 28 games this season. There have been 59 games between teams in the top half this season, and 31 (53%) have gone the way of the home team.

Strasbourg’s 1-0 win away to Reims last weekend was their fifth consecutive Ligue 1 victory. Strasbourg, priced at 11/10 to win the game, justified their position as favourites, but Reims had their chances and didn’t make the most of them in a tightly contested match.

Strasbourg will be bullish about their chances of scoring, having found the net in seven of their last eight Ligue 1 games.

They are also the most profitable team in Ligue 1 this season. Backing them to a one-point level stake would have shown a profit of 9.94 units, with their home matches yielding a profit of 6.84 units.

Nice have lost three of their last four Ligue 1 matches, including the last two.

The visitors have struggled defensively of late, with Nice failing to keep a clean sheet in their last eight Ligue 1 away games. They have gone without a shutout in seven of their last nine league matches.

Strasbourg have won five of their last six home games in Ligue 1, and they have been single-goal winners in four of their last five matches. Nice have lost their last two league games by a single goal, and a narrow 1-0 win for the hosts appeals as the correct score.
