Bayern Munich -1

Reason for tip

Bayern are in form with six wins and no defeats in their last eight games, while VfB have lost three of their last four home games. Bayern won the reverse fixture 4-0 and can win with room to spare here, although perhaps not by quite such a wide margin.

Bayern Munich 2-0

Reason for tip

A Bayern win by more than one goal is expected, and as Stuttgart have only conceded more than twice in three of their home games across all competitions this season a 2-0 away win has a chance.

Stuttgart vs Bayern Munich Predictions

  • Bayern won the reverse fixture 4-0.
  • Stuttgart have four defeats in their last seven games.
  • Bayern have three consecutive Bundesliga clean sheets.

VfB unlikely to trouble Bayern

Bayern Munich have managed to open up an eight-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga and they have a chance to put more pressure on the chasing pack when they head to Stuttgart on Friday.

The hosts won the corresponding fixture 3-1 last season but a repeat looks unlikely. VfB come into the game in poor form, with four defeats in their last seven games, and Bayern are flying with six wins and no defeats in their last eight across all comps.

Bayern have scored multiple goals in each of their last eight wins and they’ve been solid at the back as well recently with three consecutive Bundesliga clean sheets.

If Bayern can keep another clean sheet here, they should be able to win with a bit of room to spare and backing the visitors to cover a -1 handicap looks a good option for our main bet.

A huge win for Vincent Kompany’s side is perhaps unlikely, however, as VfB have only conceded more than twice in three of their home games across all competitions this season. As such, a 2-0 away win appeals in the correct score market.

Harry Kane has gone three games without scoring for the Bavarians so it could pay to look elsewhere for a goalscorer and Michael Olise stands out. Olise has two goals in his last four games and can add to his seven league goals for the season at the MHPArena.
