Stuttgart to Win and Over 3.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Stuttgart are unbeaten in their last 18 home matches and should prove too strong for a Sparta Prague side that have struggled for away wins at this level.  The Germans also tend to be involved in entertaining matches as all eight of their games this season have featured at least four goals.

Stuttgart 3-1

Reason for tip

Stuttgart have scored at least three goals across each of their last six home fixtures and can repeat that trick on Tuesday. However, they have also kept just two clean-sheets during that run and given Sparta Prague are regular scorers, this game could well end 3-1.

Stuttgart vs Sparta Prague Predictions

  • Stuttgart are unbeaten in their last 18 home matches, a run that dates back nearly a year
  • All eight of Stuttgart’s matches this season have featured at least four goals
  • Sparta Prague have lost their last six away games in the Champions League proper

Stuttgart formidable on home soil

Stuttgart may have lost their Champions League opener, but they certainly did not disgrace themselves in going down 3-1 to defending champions Real Madrid at the Bernabeu and they will fancy their chances of picking up all three points on home soil against Sparta Prague.

Last season’s Bundesliga runners up boast an imperious home record, as they are unbeaten in their last 18 games at Arena Stuttgart since losing 3-2 to Hoffenheim in October 2023.

Sparta will take confidence from their opening win against Salzburg on Matchday One, but they have failed to triumph in any of their last six away matches in the Champions League proper.

Goals should flow in Germany

Stuttgart have provided plenty of entertainment so far this season, as all eight of their matches have featured at least four goals, including their most recent home fixture, a 5-1 rout of Borussia Dortmund.

Sebastian Hoeness’ side have scored at least three goals across each of their last six home fixtures, but they have also kept just two clean-sheets during that run and Sparta will fancy their chances of getting on the scoresheet.

The Czech champions have netted in all 16 of their matches to date this season, but after shipping three in defeat to Sigma Olomouc at the weekend, they may face a similarly disappointing result in Germany.
