Swansea City vs AFC Bournemouth Predictions
- Bournemouth have won five of their last nine Championship away games.
- Swansea have scored 16 goals in their last eight games while remaining unbeaten.
- Bournemouth have won seven and drawn three of the last ten league meetings between the clubs.
Bournemouth boosted by late leveller
Bournemouth got a big boost from their injury-time equaliser against Fulham on Saturday and may just have enough to overcome a Swansea side that have picked up in the final months of the season. Scott Parker’s team can hardly afford any slip-ups with Nottingham Forest pushing hard for the second automatic spot and this trip to Swansea.com Stadium is fraught with danger.
The Swans tend to dominate possession at home and have been scoring plenty of goals recently, but Bournemouth are a cut above anyone they have played since their unbeaten run began. The Cherries will also travel in the knowledge that they have won seven of their last ten clashes with Swansea and kept seven straight clean sheets in those fixtures.
The Cherries have won five of their last nine away games and beaten most of the teams outside play-off contention during that span. Dominic Solanke’s leveller at the weekend means he now has 27 for the season and seven in his last nine games.
Support Solanke to strike in Swansea
Solanke looks a good play in the anytime goalscorer market because Swansea are without a clean sheet in their last four games and shipped four away to Reading in a memorable Easter Monday game.
Although we can see this being a tough test for the Cherries, the visitors will get our support in the match result market at a shade of odds on. Motivation will be high and Bournemouth have the sort of attacking players that could thrive in the space that Swansea allow because of their own attacking ambitions.
A 2-1 Cherries win appeals to us in correct score betting as the visitors have hit multiple goals in three of their last six away trips and Swansea have scored exactly once in three of their last five at home.
