Swans’ exceptional unbeaten run

Swansea City have hit some good form at a very good time. They’ve emerged victorious in four of their last five matches and it gives their hopes of a top-half finish a real boost. They come into this match off the back of a victory over Derby County and will look to extend their unbeaten run to six matches when they play host to third-bottom outfit Barnsley on Friday. The ‘Swans’ have been averaging nearly two goals scored per match in their last five home games and they’ll feel confident they can add another three points to their tally here.

The ‘Tykes’ have had a miserable campaign and relegation to League one seems inevitable. Their real issue has been scoring goals as no side has scored fewer than their 30 this season. They were blown away by Millwall last time out, being dealt a 4-1 defeat, and it’s clear to see that confidence is at rock bottom. To make matters worse, boss Poya Asbaghi tore into his side saying they weren’t “tough enough” so it’s hard to make a case for them taking something from this match.
