Under 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Under 2.5 goals looks the best bet when Swansea host Blackburn on Saturday, with four of their last six meetings producing fewer than three goals.

Draw 0-0

Reason for tip

A 0-0 draw appeals as the correct-score pick. Two of Blackburn’s six draws this season have been goalless, and in five of the last six meetings between these sides, at least one team has failed to score.

Swansea City vs Blackburn Rovers Predictions

Bore draw backed in south Wales

Saturday’s Liberty Stadium clash between two managerless clubs in Swansea and Blackburn is unlikely to be a goalfest.

Four of the last six meetings between the Championship pair have produced under 2.5 goals and that is the recommendation again this weekend.

Blackburn are 12 places and 14 points above Swansea in the table. The visitors are fifth with 15 wins, six draws and 12 losses, while the Swans sit in 17th in the table and sacked manager Luke Williams earlier this week.

Rovers have won three of their last four Championship games including 2-0 victories over West Brom and Plymouth with caretaker boss David Lowe in the dugout following John Eustace’s departure to Derby.

However, Swansea have won four of the last six times that Blackburn have visited them in the Championship.

The Swans have conceded in 17 of their last 19 Championship games, but they kept a clean sheet two weeks ago against eighth-placed Bristol City, when they won 1-0.

Meanwhile, Blackburn have been impressive defensively this season conceding just 31 goals in the Championship – an average of 0.94 goals per game from 33 games.

These teams could cancel each other out, with a 0-0 draw a real possibility. Two of Blackburn’s six draws this season have ended goalless and in five of the last six meetings between these sides, at least one team has failed to score.
