Swansea impressing despite lack of incentive

While having nothing to play for often means most teams pack it in by this stage of the season, the opposite is true for Swansea, who are playing some of their best football despite being locked in mid-table obscurity in the Championship.

The Swans have reeled off three successive wins in the league, beating Derby, Plymouth and Sunderland without conceding, while they held Leeds to a draw at Elland Road beforehand.

They are a tough nut to crack at the moment but it is not a foregone conclusion that they will win when they take on lowly Hull, who are fighting for their lives in the Championship.

Tigers can keep the score down

The Tigers are only three points above the relegation zone with four matches still to play and they can be expected to put up a fight.

But they have scored only 41 times in their 42 league games this season and they will be relying on resolute defending to see them over the line against Swansea.

With that in mind, under 2.5 goals looks like a good bet, having clicked in each of Hull’s last five matches.

And given Swansea’s resurgent form, they are the team to side with in the correct score betting with a 1-0 win to the home side the way to play it.
