Swansea City vs Middlesbrough Predictions

Go for goals at both ends at the Liberty

Take both teams to find the net when Swansea host Middlesbrough at Liberty Stadium on Saturday. Both teams have scored in five of Middlesbrough’s last seven Championship games and just two sides have netted more than their 55 goals this term.

Middlesbrough are seven places above Swansea in the table and have nine points more than their hosts. They sit eighth with 14 wins, eight draws and 13 losses, while Swansea are 16th with 11 wins, eight draws and 16 defeats.

Swansea have lost three of their last four home league games, although they did beat Blackburn 3-0 two weeks ago. Middlesbrough are on a good run, having won their last two matches and avoided defeat in the last seven meetings with Swansea.

Swansea have conceded in nine of their last 12 league games and Middlesbrough have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last five away matches, so both teams could be on the scoresheet.

Middlesbrough won the last Championship meeting 1-0 but both teams scored in six of the previous eight encounters. They have scored in 17 of their last 20 league games and in five of the last seven.

The 2-1 away win for Middlesbrough looks a decent correct-score bet. Three of Swansea’s last four home league games have ended in defeat and 11 of their 16 reverses this season have been by a single goal.
