Sydney FC vs Perth Glory Predictions

  • Both teams have scored in six of Sydney FC’s last seven matches.
  • Three of Sydney FC’s last seven have ended in 1-1 draws.
  • Adam Le Fondre has scored in six of his last ten appearances and has 20 goals in 26 A-League games this season.

Sydney FC managed to reclaim their A-League Premiership title by a six point margin this season, but their form hasn’t been at its best in recent weeks. They head into the playoffs winless in five matches and without a clean sheet since the restart of football back in July.

That being said, they have a fantastic record in the playoffs and face a Perth Glory side they beat in the Grand Final last season. Glory have lost four of their last six and only just made the playoffs thanks to a final day win over Wellington Phoenix.

The Sky Blues are gunning for their 5th Championship win and their 3rd in four years, so expect them to come to life on Wednesday. That being said, with both teams scoring in six of their last seven and Perth Glory scoring in five of their last seven we think backing both teams to score is a good idea.

We are expecting a closely fought match as well. These two played out a stalemate in last season’s Grand Final and three of Sydney’s last seven games have ended 1-1, so that’s our choice for the correct score prediction.

Adam Le Fondre is one to watch as well. The Sydney FC star has scored 20 goals in 26 A-League appearances this season and has found the net in six of his last ten.
