      AC Milan to Win

      Reason for tip

Milan should be too strong for Torino, despite their midweek Champions League setback. They have won three of their last four away games and dominated against Verona last weekend. With Torino struggling defensively and failing to keep a clean sheet in their last three league matches, Milan look likely winners.

      AC Milan 2-1

      Reason for tip

A 2-1 Milan victory is a solid correct-score bet. Seven of their 11 wins this season have come by a single goal, and Torino have lost seven times by the same margin. With Milan scoring consistently and Torino’s defensive frailties evident, a narrow but deserved Rossoneri win seems probable.

      Torino vs AC Milan Predictions

Milan can bounce back from Euro exit

Milan lost out to Feyenoord in the Champions League in midweek but Sergio Conceicao’s side have been solid at the back in Serie A this season and should be too strong for Paolo Vanoli’s team at Olimpico Grande Torino.

They are five places above Torino in the table, with the two sides separated by 13 points. Milan are seventh with 11 wins, eight draws and five defeats, while Torino are 12th with six wins, ten draws and nine losses.

Milan ran out 1-0 winners against Verona last weekend, dominating the game with 73.7% possession, and they have now won nine of the 13 Serie A matches in which they have scored first this season.

The Rossoneri will be hopeful of getting on the scoresheet again in Turin, having scored in eight of their last nine league games. They have averaged 1.93 goals a game in their 14 Serie A matches against bottom-half teams this season.

Torino’s form is a concern. They lost 3-2 to Bologna last week and drew 1-1 with Genoa two weeks ago in their last home game.

Their struggles at the back could be key in this game. They have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last three Serie A games and have conceded in six of their last eight matches at home.

The visitors have won three of their last four away games and, with seven of their 11 wins this season coming by a single goal, a 2-1 Milan win looks a decent correct-score bet. Seven of Torino’s nine defeats this season have also been by a single goal.
