Torino have won five of their last seven home games against Genoa in Serie A and they are worth backing to secure another victory when the teams meet on Saturday.

They are 11th in Serie A, one place above Genoa, with both teams having lost more games than they’ve won. The hosts have six wins, nine draws and eight defeats, while the visitors have six wins, eight draws and nine losses.

Genoa lost 2-1 to Fiorentina on Sunday in their last away game and their recent form has been inconclusive, with three wins, one draw and two defeats in the last six games.

Genoa’s struggles in front of goal away from home this season are a major concern. They have scored just nine goals in 11 games on the road, an average of 0.8 goals a game.

Torino are unbeaten in eight of their last nine matches in Serie A and have avoided defeat in nine of the last ten meetings with Genoa.

Genoa’s defence has shown signs of vulnerability in recent away games, with the visitors failing to keep a clean sheet in their last two on the road.

Three of Genoa’s nine defeats this season have been by two goals, and a 3-1 win for Torino is an attractive correct-score bet.
