Torino vs Juventus Predictions

Torino’s season looks to be petering out, with Giampiero Ventura’s side winless in their last four Serie A matches. The home fans will be up for the derby as ever, but with a seven-point cushion to the relegation places it looks as though the club will be safely in mid-table. One win in seven home games offers little suggestion that Torino will be able to stop Juventus from marching on to title glory yet again, although the form book can only ever tell you so much about derby day encounters. Conceding three goals at Genoa last weekend shows that the Torino defence can be vulnerable and Juventus should collect an easy three points here.

Massimiliano Allegri’s men gave Bayern Munich an almighty fright in the Champions League in midweek, shooting into a 2-0 lead at the Allianz Arena only for Thomas Muller to force extra-time as the clock ticked over 90 minutes. Bayern eased away in the added 30 minutes but Juventus can take heart from a fantastic effort, especially considering a host of key players – Paulo Dybala, Claudio Marchisio and Giorgio Chiellini – were injured. None of those stars are likely to return for this clash but Juve’s league form is sublime with 18 wins from 19 games and 10 clean sheets in a row.

It is hard to bet against Juventus right now and there is absolutely nothing in the prices being offered for this game to persuade us to oppose Allegri’s side for this Turin derby. Juventus to win at 19/20 with bet365 looks extremely generous indeed, in fact it appears to be one of the best bets of the weekend. The defending champions should not slip up here and a price close to evens should be lapped up by punters. A 2-0 win for Juve can also be backed at 13/2.
