Toronto FC vs New York Red Bulls Predictions

  • Both teams have scored in six of Toronto’s last seven games and in three of New York’s last four.
  • Toronto have scored in ten of their 13 MLS matches, but have kept just one clean sheet.
  • Red Bulls have netted in ten of their 12 games but have kept just one clean sheet in six on the road.

Entertaining clash on the cards in Ontario

New York Red Bulls are in decent form after just one defeat in six, though they’re passed over in the 1X2 market for this midweek trip to Canada based on their poor travelling record this season.

Gerhard Struber’s beat Orlando City 1-2 on their last away trip a fortnight ago, however, that marked their first victory on the road this term after one draw and four defeats from their previous five outings.

While they bested Toronto 2-0 in May’s reverse fixture, the odds available for a repeat aren’t quite enough to tempt here with the Canadians beating Eastern Conference leaders New England 2-3 on their penultimate start before a 1-1 draw against Orlando City in Ontario at the weekend.

Toronto have in fact seen both teams hit the net in six of their last seven matches and that rates the best bet for Thursday’s action, with both teams also scoring in three of Red Bulls’ last four.

The teams have struck at least once on ten occasions apiece this season from 12 and 13 fixtures respectively, while also maintaining just five clean sheets.

Goals look a given as a result at BMO Field and in what should be an entertaining encounter, we’re also going for a 2-2 correct score prediction.
