Udinese vs Bologna Predictions

• Bologna are 20 points better off than Udinese in the Serie A standings

Bologna can close in on Champions League berth

Confidence will be high in the Bologna camp this week after the club secured their spot in the Coppa Italia final at the expense of Empoli on Thursday but they must quickly turn their attention back to Serie A.

Vincenzo Italiano has done a terrific job with Bologna, who lost former boss Thiago Motta to Juventus last year, and has a shot at silverware with the club after their 2-1 win over Empoli in the week.

As it stands, Bologn are on course to finish above Juventus in the Serie A standings and can boost their chances of making the top four and the Champions League with a routine win over Udinese.

Hard to get behind shotshy Udinese

Before their cup win on Thursday, Bologna dug deep to beat Inter 1-0 in Serie A just last Sunday and they should not face much resistance from Udinese on Monday.

Stuck in no-man’s land in Serie A, it seems Udinese are already thinking about their summer holidays, having lost each of their last five league games.

They also failed to score in four of those contests with Verona, Genoa, Milan and Torino keeping them out and a Bologna win is the way to go, while they are worth backing to win this game 1-0.
