Rock-bottom Vasteras host Hacken

Vasteras sit at the bottom of the Allsvenskan and they face a stern test against Hacken on Monday.

The break perhaps came at the wrong time for bottom club Vasteras as they had put together a three-match unbeaten run, with two draws and then just their second win of the season against Kalmar in their last outing.

Hacken sit 10 places and 12 points above their hosts but their road form has been questionable and the best option here may be backing both teams to score.

Vasteras have managed a meagre eight goals in 12 games but five of those strikes have come in their last two fixtures. Their defence hasn’t necessarily been a big problem but they have still shipped eight goals in six home games.

Hacken have one of the most effective attacks in the division with 24 goals scored in 13 games but their backline is vulnerable, as they have the worst defensive record in the top seven having shipped 22 goals so far – eight more than their hosts have conceded.

Hacken picked up seven points from their first three trips but have failed to add to that tally in three away games since. However, all of those defeats came at top seven rivals and they should be able to end that losing streak on Monday. Vasteras may have improved but all of their recent success has come against teams in the bottom six, so a 2-1 win for Hacken has some appeal in the correct score market.
