Borussia Dortmund’s slide down the Bundesliga could continue on Sunday when they travel to face Wolfsburg at Volkswagen Arena.

The Wolves have won their last three games at home in all competitions and stunned seventh-placed Mainz 4-3 when they last played there. That came shortly after a 3-0 cup win over Hoffenheim as Ralph Hassenhuttl’s side opened up the goalscoring taps.

Dortmund struggling on the road

In contrast, Borussia Dortmund’s away form has been a cause for concern. The Black and Yellows are winless in their last five road trips, also losing away in the cup to Wolfsburg after extra time in the middle of that run.

Nuri Sahin’s team have scored an average of just 0.83 goals per away game while conceding average of over two. Matches between these two sides have historically been high-scoring affairs and there is every chance this is an open contest too.
