Wolverhampton To Win To Nil

Reason for tip

Leicester have drawn 15 blanks in this season’s Premier League and they could be shut out by Wolves, who are finishing the season with a flourish. Back  a win to nil for Vitor Pereira’s men.

Wolverhampton 2-0

Reason for tip

Wolves are on a five-game winning run in the Premier League and should be too strong for Leicester. That said, Leicester kept it tight in a 1-0 loss to champions elect Liverpool, so this could be tight and a 2-0 victory for Wolves is the way to go.

Jorgen Larsen To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Aside from Matheus Cunha, Jorgen Strand Larsen has been Wolves’s best performer this season, netting 12 times in the Premier League, and he can score against strugglers Leicester.

Wolverhampton vs Leicester City Predictions

  • Wolves are on a five-match winning streak in the Premier League
  • Leicester have failed to score in 15 of their 33 league games this season
  • Wolves have recorded two wins to nil this month
  • Jorgen Strand Larsen has scored 12 goals in the Premier League

Leicester’s struggles in front of goal continue

A 1-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday confirmed Leicester City’s seemingly inevitable relegation to the Championship but the Foxes also claimed an unwanted record in the process.

The narrow loss at the King Power Stadium meant Leicester became the first team in Premier League history to go nine consecutive home games without scoring and their lack of quality up top could again cost them against Wolves.

Leicester last scored a Premier League goal at home in a 2-2 draw with Brighton in early December, having since drawn blanks against the likes of Wolves, Crystal Palace, Brentford and Manchester United.

And while they are on the road against Wolves this weekend, they could again fail to find the net.

In-form Wolves set for maximum points again

Leicester again drew 2-2 with Brighton away at the Amex Stadium in their last away fixture but had drawn three successive blanks on their travels against West Ham, Chelsea and Manchester City.

Jamie Vardy is a fading force and is Leicester’s leading scorer in the Premier League this term with just seven goals, so there is an evident lack of firepower in the Foxes’ ranks.

Wolves have not been renowned for their defensive prowess this campaign but they have looked much improved under Vitor Pereira and have won their last five games in the top flight.

The Midlands outfit have beaten Southampton, West Ham, Ipswich, Tottenham and Manchester United in their last five league fixtures and should be confident of adding Leicester to their list.

They recorded clean sheets against West Ham and Manchester United as part of their recent run and keeping out Leicester should also be straightforward enough.

Larsen could be on target again

Wolves sank Leicester 3-0 at the King Power Stadium when the sides met just before Christmas and they are a much stronger unit than they were back then.

That said, Wolves’s recent wins have generally been by tight margins, so go for a 2-0 win to the home team in the correct score betting.

In the goalscorer markets, meanwhile, Jorgen Strand Larsen is worth a bet to add to his tally of 12 goals in this season’s Premier League.
