      Wolverhampton to Win

      Reason for tip

Wolves are on a three-game winning streak and can get the better of a Tottenham side that are likely to be more focused on their Europa League exploits.  The hosts also have a good recent record against Spurs, as they are unbeaten in the last four meetings, winning three of those, including the last two encounters at Molineux.

      Wolverhampton 3-2

      Reason for tip

Heading into the weekend, Tottenham’s matches have featured more goals than any team in the Premier League this season (103), with Wolves next on that list (102). That should make goals likely on Sunday and after they played out a 2-2 draw in December’s reverse fixture, this one could go one higher with Wolves winning 3-2.

      Jorgen Larsen To Score Anytime

      Reason for tip

Jorgen Strand Larsen has shone in Matheus Cunha’s absence for Wolves, netting four goals in his last three games. The Norwegian also struck a late equaliser in December’s reverse meeting and he could come back to haunt Tottenham again.

      Wolverhampton vs Tottenham Hotspur Predictions

      • Wolves head into the weekend on the longest winning run in the Premier League
      • The Old Gold are unbeaten in their last four meetings with Tottenham (W3, D1)
      • Spurs have lost nine of their 15 away matches in the league

In-form Wolves can land fourth-straight win

Wolves looked set for a nervy end to the season, but a run of three successive victories, including last weekend’s 2-1 success at fellow strugglers Ipswich, has all but guaranteed their Premier League status for another season.

Vitor Pereira’s side are certainly in form and they began the weekend on the longest winning run in the top-flight.

The Old Gold also have an impressive recent record against Spurs, as they are unbeaten in the last four meetings between the two sides, winning three of those, including the two most recent clashes at Molineux.

      Spurs may be distracted

Wolves could well be facing Tottenham at the right time, as this match comes right in the middle of the visitor’s Europa League quarter-final tie with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Ange Postecoglou’s team drew Thursday’s first leg 1-1 on home soil and with the return match to come in Germany next midweek, the Australian may opt to rotate his starting line-up for this trip to the West Midlands.

Europe certainly appears to be the priority for Spurs, who came into the weekend languishing 14th in the Premier League standings, and if their focus does lie elsewhere, Wolves have the confidence and quality to make them pay.

This could also prove a high-scoring game, as heading into the weekend Tottenham’s matches have featured the most goals in the Premier League this season (103), with Wolves next on that list (102). Entertainment should therefore be expected at Molineux and the hosts could end up edging it 3-2.

Strand Larsen can remain Wolves’ main man

Wolves will be further boosted for this game by the return of leading scorer Matheus Cunha, who has missed the last four matches through suspension, but given the team’s form in the Brazilian’s absence, he may not be guaranteed to come straight back into the starting XI.

Fellow forward Jorgen Strand Larsen has certainly been thriving of late, netting four goals in his last three games and taking his tally for the season to 11, which is just two shy of Cunha’s Premier League total.

The Norwegian struck both goals in the win over Southampton, was the only scorer in the 1-0 home success against West Ham and was the matchwinner in the come-from-behind victory at Ipswich.

Having also struck a late leveller in the reverse meeting with Spurs in December – a match that finished 2-2 – Strand Larsen looks as likely as anyone to get on the scoresheet at Molineux.
