In form Wimbledon to make it tough for Pompey

The home team currently occupy 17th place in League One but have the advantage of a game in hand on each side around them in the table. Despite their lowly position, Wimbledon have not lost a game since their last meeting with Portsmouth back on the 20th of November when Pompey secured victory via a last-minute winner from Marcus Harness at Fratton Park. Following that match, Mark Robinson’s men have progressed into the third round of the FA Cup and put a solid run of results together.

Pompey had a less than convincing start to the season and were themselves 17th in the table in the middle of October after securing just a solitary win in ten matches. But gaffer Danny Cowley has managed to turn their form around and will be targeting a playoff spot. The visitors have won four away league games this season and three of those have come in their last three matches on the road and kept clean sheets in all of those. So Portsmouth will be in a confident mood coming into this one.
