Arsenal vs Fulham Predictions
- Arsenal have won both of their Premier League matches after claiming the Community Shield.
- Fulham lost 3-0 at home to Brentford last weekend.
- The Gunners won both league meetings last season.
Arsenal looking to continue perfect start
Arsenal have made a solid start to the season with victories over Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace and they can continue their winning start by seeing off visitors Fulham on Saturday.
The Cottagers opened the campaign with a 1-0 win at Everton, where they were arguably fortunate to get all three points. Last week’s 3-0 home defeat to Brentford is perhaps a fairer representation of where they are right now after reluctantly allowing star forward Aleksandar Mitrovic to depart and they could be in for a tough afternoon in North London.
Gunners can win with room to spare
Both of Arsenal’s wins this season have been by one-goal margins but they may be able to beat a -1 handicap against the Cottagers.
The Gunners won both league meetings last season, claiming a 3-0 win at Craven Cottage in March in their last meeting.
Fulham have already faced 17 shots on target across two games and they have conceded a hefty 36 chances in total. Arsenal are yet to really find their rhythm despite their strong start but if they are able to carve out a few chances on Saturday they should be able to win with some room to spare.
Nketiah can add to tally
Eddie Nketiah has one goal so far this season and the Arsenal striker looks a good contender for an anytime strike this weekend. Gabriel Jesus is yet to feature this season and the game against the Cottagers is likely to come too soon, although he is close to a return, so Nketiah should start in the central attacking role.
A 3-0 win for Arsenal is the correct score prediction as they have scored at least three goals in seven of their last nine home league games, while the Cottagers look lightweight in attack at present and have managed just four shots on target in total across their last two games.
