Shaky start for both teams

Arsenal dropped their first points of the season last weekend as they drew with Fulham and now they face old rivals Manchester United in what could prove a narrative-deciding fixture for the opening portion of the season.

Neither side has looked at their best so far this term but, with both winning two of their three games so far, it’s far from a disaster and victory on Sunday would put them back on the right path heading into the international break.

Defensive issues make headlines

Defensively, both teams have significant issues to deal with. Bukayo Saka stands out as the best anytime goalscorer option. The Arsenal talisman has scored in both his home outings this season and has a fantastic recent record against Manchester United, scoring in each of his last three appearances against them.
