Barcelona vs Manchester United Predictions

Can Barca keep going?

Barcelona’s form of late has been simply sublime, reeling off eight successive wins in all competitions, and going unbeaten over 16 games since losing to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

That 3-0 defeat at Camp Nou was also the last time they failed to score, with Xavi’s outfit seeing both teams net in seven of the outings since.

That shows they are defensively strong, but Europe has been a tougher task, keeping just one clean sheet in six Champions League outings this season as both teams scored three times, while four contained three or more goals.

Manchester United in form too

This is, in fact, a meeting of two of Europe’s most in form teams, as Manchester United have won 12 times in 15 matches since returning from the World Cup.

Worryingly, though, their only defeat in that run came at Arsenal, 3-1, so there is a slight question over how they do against top rank opponents on the road.

Their superb attack will trouble Barca though, as the Red Devils have netted at least twice in six successive outings, while both teams have netted in six of their last nine, and six have contained at least three goals.

I predict both teams will score with three or more goals in this game, selecting 2-1 to Barcelona as a correct score prediction.
