DC United vs FC Dallas Predictions
DC United really haven’t looked good so far this season. They kicked the campaign off with a 4-1 defeat to LA Galaxy, and while their defence has upped their game since then their attacking play has been dismal.
They have drawn both of their matches since then, and they are currently on seven match winless streak in all competitions. Personally, I can’t see them equalling last season’s 4th place finish in the Eastern Conference this season if they don’t improve drastically.
FC Dallas are one of the hot favourites for the Supporters Shield this season, and barring one major slip up they are looking like a team capable of achieving this.
They have won two of their three MLS matches so far, beating Philadelphia Union and Montreal Impact 2-0 on home turf. However, their 5-0 thrashing to Texan rivals Houston Dynamo can’t be ignored. If that is a sign to come of their away form then a Supporters Shield victory seems very unlikely.
I think their defeat to Houston Dynamo was just a blip really. Their defence has looked solid in their other two matches this season and they should have no trouble dealing with DC United’s limited attacking capabilities.
FC Dallas should be able to get the win on Saturday. DC United haven’t won any of their last four home matches either, so odds of 1.975 for an FC Dallas 0.0 Asian Handicap Win look very good value to me. I’m going for a narrow 1-0 correct score prediction at 17/2 as well.
