One such match pits second tier German outfit Dynamo Dresden who welcome Premier League side Huddersfield Town to the DDV-Stadion.

Dynamo Dresden will play its third consecutive season in the 2. Bundesliga next season having initially been promoted in the 2015/16 season, finishing Champions of the 3. Liga. The German outfit finished 14th in the 2. Bundesliga last season and have started their pre-season in pretty decent shape having recorded victories over Zwickau, Chemnitzer FC and Wismut Gera. However, those sides are not of the quality of a side who plays it’s football in the top division on English football and the hosts should be preparing themselves for a fairly significant step up in quality.

Despite many pundits tipping Huddersfield as no-hopers last season, David Wagner led his side impressively and ensured they will stay in the Premier League for a second successive season. Now, however, comes the difficult second album. Wagner knows if his side are to repeat the trick then they will have to start the new season strongly, and plenty of momentum from a strong pre-season will certainly do their chances of achieving this no harm whatsoever.
