Everton and Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Everton have won two matches since David Moyes’ return and the Toffees can maintain their revival with a victory over struggling Leicester. The Foxes won at Spurs last week but prior to that they had lost seven of their eight matches and a return to losing ways looks likely this weekend, although they could get on the scoresheet at least.

Everton 2-1

Reason for tip

Prior to the win at Tottenham, Leicester had lost their previous two league matches 2-0 amid an eight-match sequence which had seen them fire blanks on five occasions. Everton will look to keep things tight but Leicester still pose a threat in attack and a 2-1 home win looks the best option.

Iliman Cheikh Ndiaye To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Livewire forward Iliman Ndiaye bagged the only goal in Everton’s 1-0 win at Brighton last Saturday, and the Toffees forward is in great goalscoring nick with four goals in his last seven outings. The Senegal star is also on penalty duty for the Blues so looks a good option to get on the scoresheet once more this weekend.

Everton vs Leicester City Predictions

  • Leicester have won two of 11 away league matches this season
  • Eight of the last ten meetings have seen both teams score
  • Ilian Ndiaye has bagged four goals in his last seven outings

Foxes may struggle to back up surprise win

Leicester lifted spirits with a 2-1 win at Tottenham last Sunday but their form has been miserable prior to that and a regression to losing ways looks likely this weekend.

The pressure was eased on Foxes boss Ruud van Nistelrooy with the shock result at Spurs but Leicester remain in serious danger of the drop and we predict more misery for the King Power crew this week.

Everton are one place above this week’s visitors in the Premier League standings but the gap is currently at six points and the Toffees could stretch their advantage over their fellow strugglers.

The Blues have won two matches since David Moyes’ return and there has been a clear improvement in performances from those that saw Sean Dyche lose his job.

A home win is the prediction but it may be wise not to rule out an away goal when looking at recent meetings.

Goals could flow by the Mersey

Everton are the second-lowest scorers in the Premier League this season with just 19 goals but there looks a good case for them to improve that miserable statistic this week.

Moyes is not known for an adventurous approach but there has been a noticeable lift in Everton’s play and they have scored four goals in three game since his return to the Goodison Park dugout, and his side could come out on top in a lively encounter typical of this fixture.

Eight of the last ten meetings have seen both teams score and Leicester have managed to score in four of their last five away matches.

They can get on the scoresheet once again bit it is likely to end in more disappointment.

Ndiaye to continue his hot streak

It has largely been a season of misery for Everton but livewire forward Illian Ndiaye has been one bright spot and we predict another goal for Everton’s in-form forward.

Ndiaye has claimed seven goals this term, but four of those have come in his last seven outings and there could be more to come from the Senegalese hotshot.

The Toffees man bagged the only goal in the win over Brighton last week and confidence is clearly high in the 24-year-old.

The fact he is also on penalty duty for his side also helps the cause and at least one more goal for Everton’s in-form forward is our prediction for this fixture which is expected to be lively.
