Everton Double Chance (Win or Draw)

Reason for tip

Manchester City crushed Crystal Palace 5-2 last Saturday but Pep Guardiola’s side had to recover from 2-0 down and there are still signs of vulnerability in the team. They could have a tough time against Everton, who have lost just three league games since David Moyes took charge, so back the Toffees to avoid defeat.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

Four of Everton’s last six games have been settled by 1-1 scorelines and a repeat of that scoreline could be on the cards when they host Manchester City, who are still some way off their best.

Iliman Cheikh Ndiaye To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Iliman Ndiaye has been Everton’s main man up top this season with seven goals in the Premier League and, given he is on penalty duty, he is a worthwhile bet to score against Manchester City.

Everton vs Manchester City Predictions

  • Everton have lost just one of their last 12 Premier League matches
  • Both teams have scored in three of Man City’s last five fixtures
  • Everton have drawn four of their last six matches 1-1
  • Iliman Ndiaye is Everton’s top scorer in this season’s Premier League with seven goals

Citizens still showing signs of vulnerability

Manchester City ran out 5-2 winners against Crystal Palace on Saturday but the scoreline at the Etihad Stadium did not tell the full story and they could be vulnerable away to Everton this weekend.

The Citizens went 2-0 down after just 21 minutes against Palace on Saturday following goals from Eberechi Eze and Chris Richards.

And it could have been three only for Eze to have a strike ruled out for offside.

Of course City deserve credit for their resilient comeback spearheaded by a resurgent Kevin De Bruyne but the way they defended in the first half left plenty to be desired.

Their high line came unstuck on several occasions and are still some way of the consistent force they once were.

Everton look solid under Moyes

Results have been picking up but they have still lost to Nottingham Forest and drawn with Brighton and Manchester United since the start of March and they could drop points in their final ever visit to Goodison Park.

Wins have been hard to come by but Everton are nonetheless making progress under club legend David Moyes, who has lost just three of his 14 league games in charge since taking over in January.

They have not lost at Goodison Park since early Ferbruary and they under Moyes they have taken points off Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal before an eye-catching 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Defensive resilience has been the key and five of Everton’s last seven league games have ended as draws, so backing the Toffees not to lose this fixture could be the way to go.

Ndiaye could get on scoresheet

In terms of a correct score, meanwhile, 1-1 is the obvious pick given it has clicked in four of their last six league assignments.

Man City have also struggled for clean sheets recently, keeping just one in their last seven matches and that came against rivals Manchester United, who sat back and arguably played for the draw at Old Trafford.

Iliman Ndiaye remains Everton’s main goal threat and he is worth backing to score against City.

Ndiaye is also on penalty duties for Everton and this game is expected to be tight so it may come down to a penalty or set piece.
