Fulham vs Manchester City Predictions
- Manchester City are unbeaten in 20 Premier League matches.
- Fulham have scored in 12 of their last 14 Premier League matches.
- Manchester City to win and both teams to score has been a winner in each of their last four meetings with Fulham.
Cottagers have one eye on the beach
Fulham are drifting towards a comfortable finish in the Premier League, and their end-of-season malaise could play into the hands of a Manchester City side rolling towards a fourth successive Premier League title.
The Cottagers have only won one of their last seven games and have taken just one point from their last three at home, and another defeat is expected when Pep Guardiola’s side pay a visit to the capital on Saturday.
Foden on fire for City
The Cityzens thrashed Wolves 5-1 last time out, with four goals from Erling Haaland silencing the Norwegian’s critics and setting him up for back-to-back Golden Boots in the Premier League.
However, it is Phil Foden who looks the better value in the anytime goalscorer market. The 23-year-old England international has scored 23 goals for his club this season and bagged an assist last time out, while a brace in his last away game makes it six goals from his last six competitive outings.
Back City for high-scoring win
Manchester City’s win at home to Wolves was their sixth consecutive victory in the Premier League and extended their unbeaten record to 20 matches, although they have conceded in 13 of those games, paving the way for Fulham to get on the scoresheet against the champions.
Fulham have scored in 12 of their last 14 Premier League matches and found the net in the reverse fixture – a 5-1 defeat – at the Etihad in September. That was the fourth meeting in a row in which Manchester City have won and conceded, so backing the same again on Saturday looks appealing.
The hosts’ last home defeat was a 3-1 loss to Liverpool and I expect City to go one better. They have scored exactly four goals in three of their last six, two of which came away from home, so a 4-1 correct score prediction is my choice.
